Common questions
Booking, Timing and Same-Day Service
What counts as a plumbing emergency?
Anything actively getting worse counts: water spreading, a drain or toilet backing up, no hot water, or a suspected gas leak. If in doubt, call and we'll help you work out how urgent it is.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes. A real person answers the phone at 2am the same as at 2pm, weekends and public holidays included. It's not an answering service reading you a script.
How do I book?
Call (02) 9073 7962 and describe what's happening. We'll talk through the next step, and if it's urgent, get a licensed plumber moving straight away.
What happens after I call?
A licensed plumber is dispatched, assesses the job on site, and gives you a fixed price before touching anything. Once you approve it, the work goes ahead the same visit wherever possible.
Common questions
Pricing, Straight Up
Is the quote really free?
Yes, always. Coming out to diagnose the fault and explain the fix costs nothing.
What does the $65 off your first service cover?
It's $65 off whatever your first job with us costs, whether that's a quick tap repair or a full pipe replacement.
Does the price change once you start?
No. The figure we agree before work begins is the figure on the invoice, regardless of how long the job actually takes.
What payment options do you offer?
We'll talk through payment on the day once the job's done and you're satisfied with the result. There's no requirement to pay anything before we start.
Common questions
The Ropes Crossing Questions
Why do Ropes Crossing's older homes get plumbing emergencies?
There's no older housing here in the traditional sense, the estate's only been building since 2008, but that means the earliest fittings and hot water units are now hitting the point where volume-builder parts start failing across whole streets at once, especially once cold inland winter nights push reverse-cycle systems and hot water use hard.
Do you cover the suburbs next to Ropes Crossing?
We do. St Marys, Marsden Park, Colyton, Cambridge Park and Claremont Meadows are all part of our regular run.
Do you handle strata and units in Ropes Crossing?
Yes. Between the townhouse blocks and the units near Coles at Central Place, strata and shared-supply jobs come up regularly, and we liaise directly with whoever's managing the property.
How local are you, really?
We're on these streets often enough that Ropes Creek and the reserves along it are part of our regular route, not somewhere we need directions to.
Common questions
Licensing, Insurance and Responsibility
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every plumber holds a current NSW licence under Lic #465156C, and we're fully insured for the work we do.
Can you check my licence number?
You're welcome to, using verify.licence.nsw.gov.au. Hardly anyone actually asks, but the option's there whenever you want it.
Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?
The line from your house to the property's connection point is yours. Past that point, it's Sydney Water's, and we'll tell you plainly which side a fault sits on.
Are your plumbers qualified to work on gas?
Yes. Every plumber we send is also a licensed gas fitter, so gas jobs never get passed to someone else.
